Renewal deadlines and the grace-period surcharge

Trademark guides

All help articles

A Chinese trademark registration normally lasts ten years from its registration date. Renewal can be requested during the twelve months before expiry. If that window is missed, a six-month grace period follows the expiry date. Confirm the actual registration status and deadline with us.

Our additional USD 100 per trademark, per class applies only to a renewal filed in the grace period. It does not apply to a timely renewal, change, assignment, transfer or certificate reissue.

In a subsequent-services order, select Renewal and tick the grace-period option only when it applies. Switching that row to another service clears the option. Each renewal row and its class count are assessed separately. Contact us promptly if a deadline is close or has passed.
